Support after a critical incident

Certain incidents in the workplace such as violence, robbery, natural disasters, death, or accidents can leave employees shocked, distracted, and unable to perform their jobs effectively. Critical incident response services aim to reduce the acute symptoms of the trauma by providing on-site or virtual counseling for your employees with a licensed SupportLinc EAP counselor. Learn more about the services available.

Request critical incident response services:

  • If you're experiencing an urgent need for critical incident response services, contact IU Human Resources at 812-855-6709 or askhr@iu.edu during business hours for immediate response.
  • For all other less urgent requests, such as scheduling a counseling or training session for your department/unit, complete the critical incident response request form (IU login required). A representative from Healthy IU or IU Human Resources will reach out to you within 24 hours to discuss your request and determine the next steps.
